About This Place

Nestled in the heart of North Bethesda, Pinstripes brilliantly fuses the warmth of a classic American restaurant with the vibrant energy of an event venue and entertainment hub. This multifaceted destination is not only renowned for its inviting atmosphere but also for its exquisite blend of American and Italian cuisines, making it a standout choice for diners and event-goers alike.

Step inside Pinstripes and you’ll immediately notice a space thoughtfully designed to cater to a variety of occasions—from a casual night out with friends at the bar to elegant weddings and corporate gatherings in their spacious banquet halls. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance: lively yet relaxed, charming yet contemporary, inviting you to unwind whether you’re savoring a carefully crafted cocktail or cheering on a family-friendly bocce ball match.

Food lovers will find a treasure trove of memorable dishes bursting with flavor and comfort. The culinary highlights truly shine here with crowd-pleasers like the Fettuccini Bolognese, where perfectly al dente pasta mingles with a rich, savory meat sauce that’s deeply satisfying. Mac and Cheese aficionados are in for a treat with both a classic rendition and the indulgent Lobster Mac & Cheese, where buttery Maine lobster elevates the creamy cheese to pure decadence. For seafood fans, the Crispy Calamari offers a delightful crunch paired with just the right amount of zest.

Pinstripes also caters wonderfully to families, with dedicated kids’ options such as the classic Spaghetti & Marinara Meatballs, ensuring younger palates are equally delighted. Their brunch menu, especially vibrant on weekends, features inventive plates like the Chicken & Avocado Club, layered with applewood smoked bacon, ranch, and fresh mozzarella, balancing smoky, creamy, and crisp textures that dance on the palate. And let’s not forget the pizzas and flatbreads—a perfect marriage of artisanal ingredients with crowd-favorites like Margherita and the luxurious Lobster flatbread, bubbling with mozzarella, cheddar, parmesan, and scallions atop a garlic-oregano crust.

Pinstripes doesn’t just excel in food; the entertaining experience is amplified by its bowlers’ lanes and bocce courts, making it a hot spot for team outings, celebrations, and casual fun. Patrons echo this sentiment, with customers like Mitsi Herrera recommending making lane reservations to fully enjoy bowling, while appreciating the impeccable service at the upstairs bar. The venue’s spacious and clean layout, highlighted by Lydia K, offers a comfortable setting for business lunches and social gatherings, though regular visitors also note the attentiveness and kindness of standout staff members like Oscar and José M., who turn each visit into a personalized experience of hospitality.

Families feel especially welcomed here, thanks to promotions like the popular Wednesday “kids eat free” offer, which Brianna Waters raves about as a wonderfully fun and kid-friendly environment. Moreover, Craig “Food Monk” Carter’s experience with a diverse group, including elders and infants, speaks volumes about Pinstripes’ commitment to accessibility, genuine care, and service that leaves everyone feeling valued and well-attended.

Whether you’re craving a nostalgic comfort meal like their famous Prime Rib Dip or are looking to celebrate a special moment surrounded by wood-fired pizzas, crisp cocktails such as their signature Bloody Mary, and infectious laughter over a game of bocce or bowling, Pinstripes delivers on all fronts. The rich, inviting flavors, coupled with an atmosphere that’s equal parts festive and approachable, make it a destination where memorable moments—and meals—are guaranteed.

We went at happy hour. A good deal, but definitely make a lane reservation if you want to bowl. The upstairs bar service was excellent. The server service at our lane was so so, but there were also two large corporate holiday parties going on, so they were a little busy. The bowling balls are fine, but lack lighter balls made for big fingers and heavier balls made for small fingers. The lanes are nice. Overall, everything seems clean and welcoming. The food is pretty good. We had wing with BBQ and hot - the hot is flavorful but not very hot. The Philly fries are good but not the ideal combo in my opinion. The curds were just fried goo. The plain fries are perfectly salted and crispy. The Italiano margarita was delicious. $7 HH drinks were a great deal. We'd come again, but may reserve 2 lanes for a group. Bowling is harder than I remembered!

Visited for a team lunch and appreciated the spacious layout—perfect for weekday conversations since it wasn’t too crowded. The food was decent, though not a place I’d visit just for the menu. The venue appeared clean, but something about the atmosphere felt slightly off. Tip: use the upstairs restrooms. The first-floor family restroom is shared and didn’t feel very hygienic.

Joined friends for a birthday brunch in a private dining area. Excellent customer service and care for all. Accessible options and staff was perfect and patient. Our guests included 2 mo babies and several folks in their 90ies. Everyone has a good time with plenty of good food and. drinks.

We’ve been going to Pinstripes since they first opened, and every visit has always been great. The staff is consistently kind and attentive, but there are two people who truly stand out every single time Oscar and José M. Oscar is one of the most humble and attentive waiters/bartenders we’ve ever met. He treats us like family, takes his time with us, and always has the nicest conversations. My kids absolutely adore him because he makes them feel comfortable and excited to order whatever they want. And José M. is just as amazing. He keeps our table spotless without ever making us feel rushed, always checks in for refills, and has the sweetest small talks with us. He’s so kind, so respectful, and genuinely makes the experience feel even more welcoming. And we also want to shout out the waffle lady and the omelet guy at brunch they always pay attention to the details and make sure we get exactly what we ask for. Their kindness and care make such a difference and truly complete the experience. Because of people like them Pinstripes will always be one of our favorite places. They both deserve all the recognition!

I've been to Pinstripes several times over the last few years and enjoyed each experience. The staff is attentive and responsive, the food is good and plentiful, and there are often themes and specials. They also offer bowling and bocce, although you want to reserve in advance, in case it is a busy day.
